Medical illustrations
A collection of illustrations depicting human or animal anatomy, as well as surgical guides and informative posters
During my Master's degree I got the opportunity to dissect and study a human hand. I found this process very interesting and made this oil painting of the dorsal side of the hand, showing the tendons, muscles and fat. I created this mock-up of a book cover, discussing the idea that although scientific illustrations need to be accurate and functional, they can also portray beauty and be appealing to the eye.

Rats have a different cycle than humans, rendering them unable to develop endometriosis. However, when implanted endometrium tissue into the rat's uterus, it still develops the disease and can be used to study. This poster explains the anatomical and biological differences between rats and humans regarding their uterus and the onset of endometriosis.
Informative poster about rock pigeons, their role as messengers during the War and how their specific anatomy and biology made them so suitable for this role.
