Already as a kid I was happiest when in nature, and to this day being in nature always inspires me to paint and draw its beauty. I love illustrating nature as it is, how it could be once restored, or I illustrate what emotions nature awakens in me. I was born and raised in Sittard (in Limburg) but currently live and work in Utrecht.

I graduated from my Master of Scientific Illustration in 2025 in Maastricht, where I learned many useful skills in illustrating nature. I learned about the art of medical illustrations and how to combine elements in a strong composition and layout.

I am skilled in several traditional art media, such as paints (oil, watercolor and gouache), pencils (colored pencils, graphite pencils) and ink (pens and markers). Also digital programs from Adobe like Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign and other Adobe programs fall under my expertise.
